Linda specializes in strategies that work with the brain from the top-down and the bottom-up to address how stress and trauma are stored in the body. She has trained in a wide range of techniques including Feldenkrais, iRest meditation, tension and trauma releasing exercises (TRE), HeartMath, and therapeutic yoga and breath work. These techniques, which draw on the latest research while honoring cultural traditions and people’s way of knowing, are shown to be highly effective in resetting the nervous system and building stress-resilience across the lifespan.
Linda learned some of her most important life lessons as a dog musher. She developed a course on leadership and teamwork called Lessons from the Trail that she taught at the University of Alaska and offers as a workshop. Whether you are 5 or 95 years old, learning from animals and storytelling are powerful teaching methods that come to life in Howling With Huskies.
